Xavier is a physician and surgeon who specialized in clinical microbiology and parasitology. He also holds an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as well as a PhD from the Universitat de Barcelona. With broad experience in public health sector and teaching, he has also worked in the field of health and international development on the field. He has published a large number of scientific papers and communications.
