Nélida is Mexican. She lives in Veracruz (Mexico) but comes frequently to Catalonia. She is an economist and is currently pursuing a degree in Sociology at the Universidad del Desarrollo del Estado de Puebla (Mexico). She has worked in several fields (tourism and cultural promotion, decentralized cooperation and social enterprises), both in Catalonia and Mexico, while at the same time participating actively in Mexican social and grassroots movements.
